Human Pro makes food supplements from functional mushrooms, Himalayan Shilajit and KSM-66 Ashwagandha, and grows most of the mushrooms itself. Everything on this page is made to the same rules: whole raw materials, a slow extraction, and a lab test on every batch before it is released.

Which products are in the Human Pro range?

The range has three groups. Mushroom extracts: Lion's Mane, Cordyceps, Reishi and Chaga as single capsules, the Mushroom Essentials Complex with all four in one capsule plus vitamin B3, two bundles, and the Lion's Mane Focus Spray. Himalayan Shilajit, sold as pure resin in a 50 g jar. And Ashwagandha KSM-66, a root-only extract standardised to 5% withanolides.

Where do Human Pro's mushrooms, Shilajit and Ashwagandha come from?

Lion's Mane, Cordyceps and Reishi are grown on our own farm in the Netherlands, on local agricultural byproducts, and harvested as whole fruiting bodies - never mycelium grown on rice or oats, which leaves grain in the powder of many mushroom supplements. Chaga cannot be farmed: it grows wild on birch trees, so we buy it whole and raw from Fennoscandia, the far north of Finland and Sweden, and extract it on the same farm. Shilajit comes from the Himalayas, from around 4,000 metres. Ashwagandha is KSM-66, made from the root only.

How are Human Pro mushroom extracts made?

With our Kanzen method: a water extraction and an alcohol extraction of the whole mushroom, over six weeks, never above 38 °C. Water carries the water-soluble compounds such as beta-glucans, alcohol carries the compounds that do not dissolve in water, and nothing of the mushroom is thrown away. The result is a 20:1 extract: 20 kg of mushroom for 1 kg of extract.

Most extracts on the market use hot water only, or concentrate one fraction of the mushroom and discard the rest. A dual water-and-alcohol extraction of the whole mushroom is slower and more expensive, but it is the only way to keep both groups of compounds in one extract.

How is every Human Pro batch tested?

Every batch is tested before it is released: in our own laboratory, with periodic verification by an independent laboratory, and for Shilajit by an independent laboratory at the source before it ships. Heavy metals are checked against Regulation (EU) 2023/915, and the certificates are published on our test results page, including older batches.

We publish the results per product and per batch, so you can check the batch in your hands rather than a sample from years ago. Each result lists the laboratory, the report number and the date.

Which Human Pro product should I start with?

If you want one mushroom, start with a single extract: each pouch holds 90 capsules of 420 mg, a 30-day supply at three capsules a day. If you want all four, the Mushroom Essentials Complex combines them in one capsule, and the bundles give you separate pouches so you choose what you take. Are Human Pro supplements vegan?

Yes. Our mushroom capsules and Ashwagandha KSM-66 are vegan and gluten-free, and contain no fillers, additives or preservatives - only the extract and the capsule. Shilajit is a resin of plant and mineral origin. All products are food supplements, sold in the EU under Directive 2002/46/EC, and are not a substitute for a varied, balanced diet.
