Sourced in the Himalayas 🏔️

Shilajit is not farmed. It forms over centuries as plant matter and minerals compress inside high-elevation rock, and it can only be collected where that has happened.

Ours comes from the Himalayas at around 4,000 metres, is purified and filtered rather than heat-dried, and is tested in India before it ships - not after it lands.

That is the part most sellers skip.

What's actually in the jar?

One serving is 250 to 500 mg of pure Shilajit resin. The number that matters is the fulvic acid content - the marker laboratories use to judge whether Shilajit is genuine. Eurofins measured this batch at 82.17%.

Fulvic acid

Fulvic acid is the marker compound used to judge Shilajit quality, and the number most sellers never publish. Eurofins measured this batch at 82.17% - among the highest independently verified levels available. Diluted and synthetic Shilajit often contains very little.

Human Pro Shilajit is Himalayan resin verified at over 82% fulvic acid, with heavy metals screened by Eurofins in India on every batch and the certificate published in full. Shilajit has become a crowded category, and much of what is sold is diluted, powdered or untested - with no fulvic acid figure given at all.

Why We Sell Shilajit

In 2020, we launched our first mushroom brand: Microdose Pro. It became a hit, featured in Men's HealthHuman Pro article in Men's Health, WiredHuman Pro article in Wired, QuoteHuman Pro article in Quote, and a dedicated article on NU.nlHuman Pro article in NU.nl, the biggest news platform in the Netherlands.

In 2023 we started Human Pro. Shilajit was the first thing we added outside mushrooms, and the first category where we could not find out what was actually in the jar.

Shilajit has become a crowded category, and much of what is sold is diluted, powdered or simply untested. Publishing the lab report is the cheapest honest thing a brand can do.

Our mission is the one we started with: educate, and set a standard. For Shilajit that means Eurofins testing every batch at the source in India, and publishing the certificate in full - fulvic acid figure and all.

Human Pro founders at the mushroom farm in the Netherlands

We published the number nobody else does.

“Shilajit is the easiest supplement in the world to fake. It is a dark resin - you cannot tell a real one from a diluted one by looking at it. So we test every batch at the source and publish the certificate, fulvic acid figure and all. If a seller will not tell you their number, that is the answer.”

Frequently Asked
Questions

Shilajit is a natural substance that forms over centuries as plant matter and minerals compress in high-elevation rock. It has been used in Ayurveda for generations, where it is known as the Conqueror of Mountains and Destroyer of Weakness. Ours is sourced in the Himalayas at around 4,000 metres.
Start with a pea-sized portion, roughly 200-250 mg of resin. Dissolve it in warm water, tea or milk and drink. It does not dissolve well in cold liquid. Once a day is a normal serving.
Most people take it in the morning, and many prefer it with food. There is no requirement to take it at a particular hour - consistency matters more than timing.
Experiences vary and this is a supplement rather than a medicine, so results are gradual and individual. Most people who report a change describe it over several weeks of daily use rather than days.
That earthy, slightly bitter character is normal for genuine resin - it comes from the mineral and plant matter it forms from. A Shilajit that tastes of nothing is usually diluted.
Ask for the fulvic acid figure and the heavy metal report. Ours is 82.17% fulvic acid, and every batch is screened by Eurofins in India against Commission Regulation (EU) 2023/915 before it ships. The full certificate is published on our test results page.
A 50 gram jar lasts at least 100 days. At the full 500 mg serving that is 100 days; at the lower end of the 250-500 mg range it lasts longer. The 100 g and 150 g jars scale from there.

For the functional mushrooms we farm in the Netherlands, our practices are grounded in the principles of circular economy and regenerative agriculture.

By repurposing agricultural byproducts like sawdust, wood chips, and grain husks as substrates, we reduce waste while creating a nutrient-rich foundation for mushroom growth. These practices are complemented by renewable energy sources, including solar power and contributions from a local wind collective, ensuring a minimal environmental footprint.
In our Dutch facility, we locally source substrates from agricultural byproducts, such as sawdust, wood chips, and grain husks, which would otherwise go to waste.

These materials are carefully blended with minerals and sometimes yeast obtained from nearby breweries. This localized and sustainable approach ensures that the functional mushrooms we grow have an optimal, nutrient-rich medium tailored to their needs.
For the functional mushrooms cultivated in the Netherlands, we use a super pasteurization process that is both sustainable and energy-efficient. Unlike traditional sterilization methods that heat substrates to over 121°C, we use a lower temperature range of 110-114°C.

This method retains beneficial properties in the substrates while still eliminating harmful microbes. It also reduces energy consumption, enhancing the overall sustainability of our Dutch farming operations.
On our Netherlands-based farm, we repurpose spent substrates after harvesting the mushrooms. These substrates, enriched with fungal compounds, are returned to local farmers to enhance soil quality.

They improve fertility, attract beneficial organisms, and even serve as a natural deterrent against harmful fungi. While this process applies to the functional mushrooms we grow in the Netherlands, we continue to explore recycling solutions for high-quality plastic waste from substrate bags to further our zero-waste goals.
Our farm in the Netherlands operates on renewable energy sources, including solar panels and contributions from a local wind collective located in one of Europe’s largest wind parks.

This setup significantly reduces the carbon footprint of our functional mushroom production. While not all our products are produced in the Netherlands, this farm reflects our commitment to sustainability.
In the Netherlands, where we cultivate our functional mushrooms, we practice regenerative agriculture by returning spent substrates to local farmers.

These substrates, enriched with organic matter and fungal compounds, improve soil fertility and reduce the need for chemical fertilizers and pesticides. While this applies specifically to our Dutch operations, it highlights our broader commitment to environmentally conscious practices.
For the functional mushrooms we farm in the Netherlands, we prioritize sustainability and quality over industrial scale.

Unlike traditional methods that rely on mass-produced substrates and high-energy sterilization, we create substrates in-house, use energy-efficient pasteurization, and repurpose agricultural byproducts. These practices, exclusive to our Dutch farm, ensure higher-quality mushrooms while actively benefiting the environment.
