Shilajit test results

Every batch, tested at the source by Eurofins. The certificates are on this page.

Shilajit has become popular faster than it has become trustworthy. The market now carries a great deal of counterfeit, untested and contaminated product - low-quality or synthetic material that can contain heavy metals, chemical fillers, or almost none of the fulvic acid that makes Shilajit worth taking at all.

We test every batch at the source, through Eurofins - one of the largest independent testing laboratories in the world. Not after import, when the only thing left to check is what already arrived.

What the current batch measured

Heavy metals are screened with the KV2HD method for food (AOAC, EASI-CHE-SOP-30) at Eurofins' accredited laboratory, and potency is measured as fulvic acid content. Every batch of Human Pro Shilajit we have sold since 2024 has measured above 75% fulvic acid, and up to 88%, the marker that separates genuine resin from diluted or synthetic material. Each certificate is on this page.

Why Human Pro?

Tested every batch: Eurofins measures fulvic acid and heavy metals at the source, before the resin ships. Every certificate is on this page.

Pure: 100% Shilajit resin, purified and filtered rather than heat-dried. No fillers, carriers or flavourings.

Himalayan: collected at around 4,000 metres.

Easy to dose: a scoop spoon comes with every jar.

Ingredients

100% Shilajit resin. Nothing added: no fillers, no carriers, no flavourings. Full product information on the product page.

Directions

Take a pea-sized portion (250 to 500 mg) once a day and dissolve it in warm water, tea or milk; it does not dissolve well in cold liquid. Most people take it in the morning. The taste is earthy and slightly bitter, which is normal for genuine resin. One 50 g jar lasts at least 100 days.

How do I tell real Shilajit from fake?

Ask for two numbers: the fulvic acid content and the heavy-metal results, on a certificate from an independent laboratory. Both are on this page for every batch we have sold since July 2024. If a seller cannot show them, that is the answer.

Why testing at the source matters

Most Shilajit sellers do not test at all. Or if they do, it happens after importing - which verifies what turned up, not what was sourced.

That gap is where three problems live: resin that is synthetic or cut with binders and fillers, resin carrying unsafe levels of lead, arsenic or mercury, and resin with so little fulvic acid that there is not much point taking it.

Testing at the source, before it ships, is the only way to answer all three before the material is already in a jar with our name on it.

What we test, and how often

Fulvic acid and heavy metals are tested on every batch. They change with each harvest, so every jar is backed by its own certificate.

Pesticides and PAHs are checked every few years. These depend on where the resin comes from and how it is processed rather than on the lot, and neither of those changes between batches.

Eurofins draw these samples themselves, at the source. Both came back below the limit of quantification.

Reading the numbers

Who tests Shilajit?

Eurofins, at the source. Every batch is tested in full before it ships to us. Shilajit is the one product we do not make and do not test ourselves, so the figures on this page are the laboratory's, not ours.

Why does the arsenic row show a dash instead of a maximum?

Because EU law does not set one. Regulation (EU) 2023/915 sets maximum levels for lead, cadmium and mercury in food supplements, and none for total arsenic. Maximum levels for arsenic do appear in that regulation, but for other food categories. Quoting one of those here would mean attributing a limit to a law that does not set it. The measured result is published either way.

What does BLQ mean?

Below the limit of quantification: present at a level too low for the instrument to put a number on, if present at all. It is a stronger result than a small number, not a missing one. The certificate prints how low that threshold was.

Is this a full pesticide screen?

No. The pesticide report on this page tests for ethylene oxide, a fumigant. The certificate files it under the heading Pesticides, but it is a single-substance test and not a multi-residue panel, so we would rather name it than let the heading do the work. The second report covers polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons.

Why do the fulvic acid figures move between batches?

Because Shilajit is a natural resin, and its composition changes from one harvest to the next. No two batches measure exactly the same, which is why every batch is tested on its own and every result stays on this page. Moisture also differs between batches and is listed beneath fulvic acid in every table.

How often is this page updated?

When a batch is released. The lot number is printed on the base of the jar. If yours is not here yet, the results are still being added.

The number is on the certificate, not just in the copy

Shilajit is the easiest supplement in the world to fake. It is a dark resin - you cannot tell a real one from a diluted one by looking at it. Publishing the certificate, fulvic acid figure and all, is the cheapest honest thing a brand can do.
