Mushroom supplements
What makes Human Pro mushroom supplements different?
Our mushroom extracts are made from whole mushrooms that we grow or source ourselves, extracted slowly on our own farm and tested batch by batch. This collection covers four species - Lion's Mane, Cordyceps, Reishi and Chaga - as single capsules, in the Mushroom Essentials Complex, in two bundles and as the Lion's Mane Focus Spray.
Where are Human Pro mushrooms grown?
Lion's Mane, Cordyceps and Reishi are grown on our own farm in the Netherlands, under controlled conditions and on local agricultural byproducts. Chaga cannot be farmed: it grows wild on birch trees, so we buy it whole and raw from Fennoscandia, the far north of Finland and Sweden, and extract it on the same farm. That gives us full traceability from growing room or forest to capsule.
Most mushroom supplements sold in Europe are imported as bulk powder from large-scale operations in Asia, with little information about how and where they were grown. Growing in the Netherlands means our cultivation falls under EU food-safety rules, and we return spent substrate to local farmers as compost.
Fruiting body or mycelium: which do we use?
Fruiting bodies only - never mycelium grown on grain. The fruiting body is the part of the mushroom you would recognise; mycelium-on-grain products are grown on rice or oats, and that substrate is milled into the powder along with it. For Chaga we use the sclerotium, the dense conk that grows on the birch tree.
How are our mushroom extracts made?
With our Kanzen method, over six weeks and never above 38 °C. A water extraction and an alcohol extraction run on the whole mushroom, so the water-soluble compounds (such as beta-glucans) and the alcohol-soluble compounds (such as triterpenes) both end up in the extract. Each extract is 20:1 and contains no fillers, additives or preservatives.
How much extract is in each capsule, and how is it tested?
Each capsule holds 420 mg of extract; a serving of three capsules is 1,260 mg. Every batch is tested before release, and the published results show the measured beta-glucan content and a heavy-metal screen against Regulation (EU) 2023/915 - for example, the current Lion's Mane batch measured 42.9% beta-glucans. All certificates are on our test results page.
Which mushroom supplement should I choose?
Choose a single extract if you want one species: Lion's Mane, Cordyceps, Reishi or Chaga, each in pouches of 90 capsules. Choose the Mushroom Essentials Complex if you want all four in one capsule with vitamin B3 (120 capsules). The Lion's Mane + Cordyceps Bundle and the 4 Mushrooms Bundle give you separate pouches, and the Focus Spray is Lion's Mane in liquid form.
Lion's Mane, Cordyceps, Reishi and Chaga are functional mushrooms, not psilocybin mushrooms: they are legal throughout the EU, sold as food supplements, and do not produce any high. They can be taken with coffee, tea and most other supplements; if you take medication, consult a healthcare professional first.
How long does a pouch of mushroom capsules last?
A single-extract pouch holds 90 capsules: 30 days at the full serving of three capsules a day. The Mushroom Essentials Complex holds 120 capsules, 30 days at four a day, and the bundles are sized for 30 days of each mushroom. Most products come as 1, 2 or 3-packs, with a subscription option. Take them daily and consistently, with water and ideally with a meal, and store them closed in a cool, dry place away from sunlight.
Orders placed before 23:00 on a working day are shipped from the Netherlands the same day, with track and trace. Shipping is free from €40 in the Netherlands and from €70 to other destinations, and every order is covered by our 30-day money-back guarantee.
