Editorial policy
Human Pro sells food supplements. Our blog explains what is in our products, how they are made and tested, and how to use them as the label describes. This page sets out who writes our articles, how we check them and how we handle mistakes.
What our articles cover
Our articles answer practical questions from people who use our products or are thinking about them:
- what is in each product, and where the ingredients come from;
- how the ingredients are grown or sourced, extracted and tested;
- how to read a lab report;
- how to choose between formats such as capsules, powders and resin;
- how to store a product and how to use it as described on the label;
- who should not use a product, and when to talk to a doctor or pharmacist.
We do not publish rankings of brands, sponsored articles or paid guest posts.
Who writes our articles
Every article names a real person as its author. Our authors are:
- Nils Paar and Gino Taselaar, the founders of Human Pro;
- Wouter Hassing, who grows our mushrooms at our farm in Flevoland;
- Asha Sultana, who wrote many of our earlier articles.
We never publish under invented names, and we never show qualifications we have not verified. Our authors write about how our products are made, tested and used. They do not give medical advice.
How we check facts
Our articles are fact-checked by our medical advisor, a physician registered in the Dutch BIG register. On her profile page you can read about her background and verify her registration. She reads each article in full and checks every fact, number and link in the text, as well as the title, the description shown in search results, the image descriptions and the structured data behind the page. We record who did the check and when, and an article she has checked shows the date of that check at the top. Her checks started in October 2026, and we are working through our articles one by one.
Our medical advisor checks facts and sources. She does not develop, test or recommend our products, and she is not responsible for product claims or product pages.
Every number in an article comes from a documented source: one of our lab reports, a product label, our own production records or a publication from a public authority. If two sources disagree and we cannot yet confirm which one is right, we leave the figure out.
We check that every link works before publication, and again each time we review the article.
How we use lab data
Each product page links to the lab reports we publish for that product. Our articles use these reports as their main source of data.
When we quote a lab value, we name the product, the batch number, the laboratory, the test method and the date of the report. We quote values as they appear on the report. Some reports come from Eurofins and some from other laboratories, and we say which laboratory produced each one. If a published report does not cover the batch currently on sale, we say so.
Safety information
Our guide to each ingredient includes a section on who should not use it and when to talk to a doctor or pharmacist. We base this section on the product label and on publications from public authorities, and we give the date of each source. This section never contains product links or offers.
Sources we use
We cite primary sources: EU legislation and EU food registers, national food and health authorities, standards and test-method bodies, scientific name databases for fungi, and our own published lab reports. We do not use other brands' blogs, general health websites or encyclopaedias as sources.
Customer reviews
The reviews on our product pages are written by our customers. We do not pay for reviews.
Our commercial relationship
Human Pro sells the products we write about, so our articles are not independent reviews. Each article says this at the top.
When we compare formats or production methods, we state the criteria and the data we used. We do not rank brands, and we do not describe other brands' products negatively.
No other company pays us for what we publish. We do not publish sponsored content or affiliate links.
How we use AI
We use AI tools to help with research, outlines, first drafts and first drafts of translations. AI is never listed as an author, and it does not decide what we publish. A named person is responsible for every article and edits the text before publication.
Some articles are illustrated with AI-generated images. Their caption says so.
Translations
We publish an article in another language only after a native speaker has rewritten it in that language and it has passed our checks for the rules of the countries where that language is read. We do not publish machine translations without that review.
Dates and reviews
Each article shows the date it was first published. When we change facts, sources or a substantial part of the text, the article also shows the date of that update. We do not change dates for small edits such as typos or layout.
We review articles about rules and legal status every month, and we update them within seven days when a rule we write about changes. We review ingredient guides and articles with safety information every six months, and all other articles at least once a year.
Corrections
If we get a fact wrong, we correct it and add a dated note at the end of the article that says what we corrected. We fix typos without a note.
If an error could affect how someone uses a product, for example a wrong serving or a missing warning, we correct the article or take it offline on the day we confirm the error.
To report an error, email hello@human-pro.com with the link to the article and what you think is wrong. We reply within five working days.
Older articles
Our blog includes articles written before this policy. We are reviewing all of them. Articles that do not meet this policy are being rewritten, merged with other articles or taken offline.
